Today i.e on 30.11.2023, short while ago, Sri Gora Singh, Assistant Engineer, Lift Irrigation, Muruda Section under Lift Irrigation Division, Baripada, Dist-Mayurbhanj has been apprehended by Odisha Vigilance while demanding and accepting bribe Rs. 5000/- from a Complainant for processing and submission of feasibility report for digging borewell on the land of his father, a beneficiary under BKVY( Biju Krushak Vikas Yojana). The entire bribe money has been recovered from the possession of accused Sri Singh, AE and seized. Following the trap, simultaneous searches are going on at three locations of Sri Singh in Mayurbhanj district. In this connection, Balasore Vigilance PS Case No 31dated 29.11.2023 U/S 7 PC Amendment Act, 2018 has been registered.Investigation is in progress against accused Sri Singh, AE, Lift Irrigation.Detailed report follows.
