Complainant for furnishing a favorable report to facilitate the sale of his house which was approved by BDA

Today i.e on 11.12.2023, short while ago, Sri Sarbeswar Mohanty, Amin, BDA( Bhubaneswar Development Authority), Bhubaneswar has been apprehended by Odisha Vigilance while demanding and accepting bribe Rs. 20,000/-( Rupees Twenty Thousand) from a Complainant for furnishing a favorable report to facilitate the sale of his house which was approved by BDA. The entire bribe money has been recovered from accused Sri Mohanty and seized. Following the trap, simultaneous searches are going on at two locations of Sri Mohanty from DA angle. In this connection, Bhubaneswar Vigilance PS Case no 34/2023 U/s-7PC (Amendment) Act, 2018 has been registered. Investigation is in progress against accused Sri Mohanty, Amin.Detailed report follows.
