Based on reliable information, on 04.01.2024 short while ago, Sri Binayak Sori, Forest Guard of Nandahandi Beat & In-charge of Jagannathpur Beat, O/o DFO, Nabarangpur, was intercepted by a team of Odisha Vigilance while traveling in a motorcycle from Khatiguda to Jagannathpur near Kapur dam of Indrabati project, Dist-Nabarangpur and *cash Rs.1.53 Lakh* (suspected ill-gotten cash) was found in his possession. As Sri Sori could not account for satisfactorily, the amount was recovered from him and seized. Following the interception, house search is being carried out at one location of Sri Sori from DA angle. He is being examined to ascertain the source of funds. Detailed report follows.
