Bhubaneswar UPD has been apprehended by Odisha Vigilance while demanding and accepting

Today i.e on 23.3.2024, a short while ago, Sri Priyabrata Pradhan, Sub Inspector (SI) of Saheed Nagar PS, Bhubaneswar UPD has been apprehended by Odisha Vigilance while demanding and accepting bribe money of Rs 2000/- as 2nd installment of overall demand of Rs 5,000/- from a Complainant to return the seized DL in connection with a case registered in Saheed Nagar PS two days back. The complainant had paid Rs 3000/- to the accused SI Sri Pradhan on 21.3.2024. But he demanded Rs 2000/- more to release the DL. Following the trap, simultaneous searches are going on at two locations of Sri Pradhan from DA angle. In this connection, Bhubaneswar Vigilance PS Case no 8/2024 U/s-7PC (Amendment)Act, 2018 has been registered. Investigation is in progress against accused Sri Pradhan, SI of Police.
