An unidentified body of a young girl was found murdered and dumped in a suitcase at shantinagar, near kurla bridge construction site on Sunday 19th November 2023 around 9.30 a.m.With great efforts of the Mumbai police the culprit was arrested within 24 hours.An Odia girl Miss Pratima Kispatta ( 25) from Sundergard, Rourkela, Odisha was residing at Dharavi, Mumbai with Mr Askar Manoj Baria ( 23) in a live- in- relationship. During a violent quarrel, he strangled her and putting her dead body in a suitcase , he dumped the body at a construction site in kurla ( w).Thanks to the Kurla Police station team and Crime Detection Unit ( Crime Branch Unit 5 team ) who laid a manhunt and trapped the accused at Thane Railway station as he was about to board a train to his hometown Odisha. Special thanks to Mr. Raj Tilak Roushan ( Dy Commissioner of police, Crime) and his Crime branch Unit 5 team and also the team of Kurla Police station.As a token of gratitude and appreciation on behalf of the residence of kurla we personally met and thanked Mr Gobind Gambjire ( ACP, Kurla division), Mr. Ghanshyam Nair ( Senior inspector , Crime branch Unit 5), Mr Iqbal Mohd.
